Sujit Ramchand, Esq. grew up in Chennai, India and New York City, USA. He graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota Law School (Minneapolis) with a Juris Doctorate. At the University of Minnesota Law School, Mr. Ramchand was on the Dean’s list, and a member of the Moot Court and the Immigration Clinic. Mr. Ramchand also studied international law at Uppsala University Law School (Sweden), Cornell Law School-University of Paris (Sorbonne) and Georgetown Law School (International Law Program).

Mr. Ramchand graduated with honors with dual Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from Queens College of the City University of New York. His majors were Economics, Political Science, History and Urban Studies, and his minor was Anthropology. At Queens College, Mr. Ramchand received several academic honors, including: Honors in Economics, Honors in Political Science, Honors in History and Honors in Urban Studies. Mr. Ramchand also received several awards, including: the Garfinkel Memorial Alumni Scholarship Award and the Excellence in History Award. At Queens College, Mr. Ramchand was on the Dean’s list, and he was also awarded membership in the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa honor society.

Mr. Ramchand has experience working as an attorney for the law firm of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver and Jacobson in New York, and as an attorney for International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) in New York. He has several years of immigration law experience, and is a Member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). He has represented companies, both large and small, and individuals, in immigration matters. He has experience with both employment based and family based immigration matters.
